There are two types of Rankings; Calendar & Seeding.

Calendar Rankings are an accumulation of the specified year’s events. After each Tour Stop rankings are calculated and made public. These rankings are the Official U.S. Rankings in the Sport of Pocket Billiards in America.
Seeding Rankings are always an accumulation of the last 10 UPA events. These rankings determine seeding of players in both UPA and non-UPA events. When U.S. invitations are given to players and there are less than 5 season events that have taken place, the Seeding Rankings are then utilized.
In Example, when the U.S. is asked to provide the names of it’s top 12 players for a World Championship the Calendard Rankings are used. However if the U.S. is asked for these top players and only 4 Season Tour stops have taken place, the Seeding Rankings will then be used as it is a more accurate representation of how players have been performing.
